Scottish First Aid Success Friday, November 17, 2006
This year was the first year that Glasgow & West Scotland Wing has taken part in the Regional Inter Cadet Sevices First Aid Competition.

Wing Commanders Charity Cup Friday, November 17, 2006
A new cup was presented to Glasgow & West Scotland Wing and will be known as the Wing Commander’s Charity Cup. It will be presented to the squadron collecting the most financial support for charities which will be on an annual basis.

Altcar Camp Training Weekend Sunday, October 22, 2006
60 staff and cadets from four squadrons have just returned from a weekend training camp held at Altcar. This was no ordinary camp as it had three seperate programmes running for cadets at differing stages in their career.

Sea King Flight Sunday, September 24, 2006
On Sunday the 24th of September, not only were cadets from 1740 (Clydebank) Squadron all delighted that they were all flying and gliding over the course of the weekend. They also attended Clay Target Shooting at Dechmount Range in Glasgow, when a Royal Navy Sea King from HMS Gannet turned up after a routine training exercise.

The Inter-Services Cadet Rifle Meeting took place on Century Range, Bisley, Surrey, between Friday 7th and Sunday 9th July 2006. During the meeting Sgt Jarrad Ali (17) of 2452 (Shawlands) Sqn, in Glasgow proved to be an exceptional shot.

The Heartstone ‘Festival of Flight’ is a photoexhibition presented with the assistance of four hosts, Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup, Chief of the Air Staff to 2006 and now Chief of the Defence Staff, Sitakumari – Director of Heartstone, Lt. Col. Herbert Carter – USAF (retired), Tuskegee Airman and Donald Rowlands – Ranger in Charge, Simpson Desert National Park, Australia. This story has been put together with their assistance and takes its audience on a new journey into the world of airpower.
