Purdie Sword Winner
Cadet Warrant Officer David McGrath of Shawlands Squadron has been awarded the Purdie Sword as the top male cadet in Scotland & Northern Ireland Region.
"I was overwhelmed to be given this award. Now I am going forward to represent Scotland & Northern Ireland for the best cadet in the whole of the Corps. This will be decided by Air Commodore Gordon Moulds MBE, the Commandant of the Corps at RAF Cranwell at the end of this month." said David.
David is currently taking part in the prestigious Junior Leaders Course and is hoping to join the RAF as an officer in the RAF Regiment.
