Fundraising for Accord Hospice
The sponsored walk was held on Saturday 3rd February around the Isle of Cumbrae, a distance of approx 10.5 miles in aid of the Accord Hospice in Paisley.
In total the cadets from 1701 (Johnstone) and 2175 (Rolls-Royce) squadrons have raised nearly £1,000 in sponorship for the Hospice. The money raised is to go towards having wind turbines and solar panels installed at the Paisley hospice. Dr Damian Scullion from the hospice, and who organised the event, said "The cadets have made a fantastic effort, and their efforts have helped us raised around £3,500 from the walk. The hospice often struggles to pay it's utility bills, so having the funds to install these turbines and panels will help us enormously".
