Sergeant Jarrad Ali UK Top Shot
The Inter-Services Cadet Rifle Meeting took place on Century Range, Bisley, Surrey, between Friday 7th and Sunday 9th July 2006. A total of 516 cadets shot the meeting representing 129 teams from the Sea Cadet Corps, the Army Cadet Force and the Air Training Corps, with guest teams from the Australian Defence Force Cadet Rifle Team and the Royal Canadian Army Cadet National Rifle Team using the L81A2 Cadet Target Rifle.
During the meeting Sgt Jarrad Ali (17) a member of 2452 (Shawlands) Sqn, Air Training Corps in Glasgow for the past 4 years, was particularly successful becoming the overall Individual Champion, from all three cadet services winning the Bossom Trophy
by four clear points.
Officer Commanding Glasgow & West Scotland Wing, Air Training Corps and officer in charge of the Air Training Corps Shooting at Bisley said, "It was a remarkable achievement for Sgt Ali to win so many individual trophies in one year and is certainly a record for which he is to be truly congratulated".

Team coach Civilian Instructor Peter Smith and Officer Commanding 2452 (Shawlands) Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Craig Gilmour praised Sgt Ali's performance as exceptional, and complimented him on having an excellent attitude and the will to win.
Appropriately this year the principal guest and prizegiver was Air Marshall Barry Thornton, Air Member for Personnell and Commander-in-Chief, Personnel and Training Command, Royal Air Force (pictured right). The Commandant Headquarters Air Cadets, Air Commodore D.I. Harrison was also in attendance (pictured left).
