Sea King Flight

Sea King flight for ClydebankOn Sunday the 24th of September, not only were cadets from 1740 (Clydebank) Squadron all delighted that they were all flying and gliding over the course of the weekend, they attended Clay Target Shooting at Dechmount Range in Glasgow, when a Royal Navy Sea King from HMS Gannet turned up after a routine training exercise, to allow cadets the opportunity to experience flying of a different kind.  This was a special treat!  The cadets present had participated in setting up equipment and have helped with Clay Target Shooting over the course of a year.  The Sea King did not turn up by chance.  The staff had decided to reward them with the surprise trip in the helicopter.   Flight Lieutenant John Pollock RAF VR(t), who organised the trip said  “this was a very exciting weekend for our cadets, as they were flying on Saturday and to have this surprise was fantastic reward for all the hard work and efforts over the year.  Well done.”
