ATC Activites - International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE)

The IACE scheme allows air cadets from all around the world to participate in a 15 day exchange visit every July and August.

Glasgow and West of Scotland Wing hosts several young people from around the world each year, and similarly cadets from this wing take part in the scheme every year. All IACE activities within the wing are co-ordinated by the Wing IACE Officer.

The first IACE exchange took place in 1947, where cadets from the UK participated in an exchange with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.

There are currently 19 nations participating in the scheme, who are exchanging approximately 600 cadets/adults annually.

Any cadet within the UK is eligible to apply for a position in the scheme as long as they are aged between 17 and 21 years of age.

Specific details of the nations participating within this scheme are available here
