The Commanding Officer of 1777 Dumbarton Squadron is Flight Lieutenant Grahame Herd, his staff are Adult Sgt Anne Mc Lean, CI Paul Cross and CI Ewan Waugh

The Squadron meets every Monday and Thursday 19:30 (7:30pm) until 21:30 (9:30pm), the Squadron address is :- c/o Hartfield House, Bonhill, Dumbarton, G82 2DG. Phone No. 01389 734816

The main activities of the Squadron are Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Leadership, Radio, Sports, visits, Flying and Gliding.

The squadron participates in various projects including Radio communications, Public relations, Training Aids, Electronics and balsa wood model making.

On the first night the following would typically happen. The new cadet is interviewed by an NCO and complete an initial interview form, they are then shown around the building shown the various activities. During the break they are introduced to all the cadets. After the break they will be shown the ATC video which explains the organisation in detail. At the end of the evening they will be interviewed by a uniformed member of staff who will issue a joining pack which has all the relevant information and consent forms etc..
